The Strata Cafe
Every Friday from 8:30-10:00AM, Strata students host a Cafe with food and drink for parents and friends of the students. We have a different group of students each week who rotate between different jobs like cooking, serving, dishes, expediter, and so much more!
What the Cafe means to us
It is very important to learn people skills and be held accountable for our mistakes like you would in a job. Forgetting to send emails, burning food, leaving food in the freezer for the night, not writing table numbers, those are all mistakes that we have had to deal with but they are a great learning experience for everyone.
We think the students can use what they have learned in Cafe working and dealing with problem solving in life, and that’s what makes Cafe important for us.
