Admissions

Strata Montessori has an admissions process for students coming into the program. The purpose of the admissions process is to ensure the compatibility of the student body with Strata goals, so as to ensure overall program success.

The Strata admissions process is non-discriminatory. Admissions considerations will at no time be biased by the gender or gender identity and expression, sexual orientation and expression, ethnicity, skin colour or any other facet of physical appearance, age, marital status, nationality, citizenship, religious affiliation and expression, political affiliation and expression, disability or other physical health related factors, or socio-economic status of the either the student, the student’s parents, or other family members and associates.

The admissions process will, however, differentiate between applicants from Dundas Valley Montessori School, our primary Montessori feeder school (“Internal Applicants”), and applicants from other schools and school systems (“External Applicants”). External Applicants will engage in an Application Process. Internal Applicants will be subject to a Transition Process.

Transition packages for DVMS students are distributed in January. External applicants are asked to contact Strata by email at admin@stratamontessori.ca or by phone at 905-304-4453 in order to arrange a visit to the school and to begin the application process.
