Leif can cook like a Michelin star chef.
He is passionate about food and the environment and he eagerly shares his knowledge with his peers. At Strata, Leif is encouraged to cultivate his interests through his managerial role at the school café. This position allows him to develop menus, create prep lists and explore the business side of running a restaurant. Although he values this hands-on entrepreneurship experience, his joy is found in incorporating the natural environment into the food he creates.
The school property, which is surrounded by hectares of beautiful Hamilton Conservation Area land, lends Leif inspiration: “It’s amazing to have a school in this kind of environment – to be surrounded by trees instead of skyscrapers.” Leif is unique. He has an important role in the Strata community.
